Owney Returns to Maine 2015
Owney
returned well rested. He was treated kindly throughout his travels.
He had several more tags on his vest than when he left. Our friends in
Hawaii spoiled him! Owney has several tags from Hawaii, a key chain with several cool attachments. We have new pins from Ute, Washington State, New Jersey, and Hawaii.

received many beautiful postcards, hand drawn cards and letters! A surprise in Owney's package was a copy of Jeannie Atkins book, Mary Anning and the Sea Dragon! The book was autographed by the illustrator Michael Dooling. He sent along his website www.michaeldooling.com and encourages us all to learn how to draw!!
Another surprise in the box were some beautiful rocks and gems from our friends in New Jersey!
Apparently, Mrs. Archer is a rockhound - the specimens are so interesting and will look great in our display case!
Although Owney had some great times in warm and sunny locations, he is now back at home here in Maine, where it is snowing. Yes! Snowing on April 9th!! He isn't that excited about the snow, but eager to share his adventures through the pictures and letters he brought home. Thank you all for taking such good care of Owney. Next year he will embark on yet another adventure if you invite him!!
