These playful Owneys' from Maine are getting a closer look at the medals on the statue of the real Owney.

Our 2001-2002 Owney Too is joined by the 1999-2001 Owney and Owney Too that traveled to many schools.

There are photos of an actual Mail Rail train. mail wagons bags and lots more things that are mention in Lynn Hall's book.

This is one of the real mail wagons that the book tells about.

The Postal Museum has many historic items from actual trains and stations.

Our Owney's jump in the train which is a a train is the same as the ones the real Owney use.
Next our Owney's went inside.

The workers picked up the mail as the train slowly pasted by.

The ladder helps the mail worker put the bag in place for a pick up.

Let's look inside the train.

Once the mail gets on the train it needs to be sorted.

Postal workers sorted mail on the train.
Storage for crates.

Sorting bags

This is one of the bags that the Real Owney liked to use as a bed.

When the real Owney died They had a Taxidermist preserve him so we could all see what he looked like and the Postal workers could remember their old friend. He is wearing some of his medals.

These Owney's say good bye to the Postal Museum.
